Story :

A group of six childhood friends drift apart after one of them, Meiko "Menma" Honma, dies in an accident. Within five years of the incident, the leader of the group, Jinta Yadomi, becomes withdrawn and lives as a recluse. One summer day, now ten years after the incident, an older looking Menma appears before Jinta saying she wants to have a wish granted; however, she does not remember what it is.
